Variations for insomnia
Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau (Sala Domènech i Montaner)
Following the legend stating that the Goldberg Variations were written to treat Count Keyserling’s insomnia, this concert has a very special format: instead of ordinary chairs, the audience will listen to the concert while lying on deck chairs. With such a horizontal position, this is the only concert within the Festival in which one is allowed to fall asleep!
The concert will be led by Inés Moreno Uncilla, winner of the BACHCELONA Award of the Young Musicians’ Early Music competition of Spain. It is the second time that she participates in the Festival.
